Established at the 2003 Southeastern Regional Leadership Conference in Charlotte, NC, the James T. Floyd Hall of Fame honors brothers who have made significant and lasting contributions to both the Southeastern Region of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and their local communities. Spearheaded by the Honorable Brother Jimmy Hammock—then Southeastern Regional Director and later the 33rd International President—this prestigious recognition celebrates service, leadership, and dedication to the ideals of Phi Beta Sigma. The inaugural class of inductees was installed during the 2004 Southeastern Regional Conference in Chattanooga, TN.

Notabe Bro. Duane D. Lewis , a Spring 1992 initiate of the Eta Chapter at North Carolina A&T State University, has dedicated over three decades of service to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. A member of Tau Epsilon Sigma since 2021, Brother Lewis previously served with distinction in Gamma Beta Sigma Chapter, where he advised collegiate chapters and led an award-winning Sigma Beta Club that earned International Model Sigma Beta Club of the Year at Conclave 2019. As Southeastern Regional Director of Sigma Beta Clubs, he created regional scholarships, secured corporate partnerships, and elevated alumni Sigma Beta Clubs through chartering and leadership conferences. His tenure as Regional Director of Collegiate Affairs strengthened membership, expanded leadership development, and advanced scholarship initiatives. Since 2018, as First Vice Regional Director, Brother Lewis has led record-setting membership growth, championed virtual MIP training, supported new chapter chartering and reactivations, and introduced the Regional Legends Award. His contributions have earned numerous honors, including induction into the James T. Floyd Hall of Fame in 2020. Brother Lewis remains a tireless advocate for youth mentorship, leadership development, and the enduring mission of Phi Beta Sigma.
